Our little sister creepy uncle is having a mini-rally. Check this general forum thread for more information, and if you have/want/need a ride post here and let everyone know.
The Puddle Cutters will be leading a ride and hosting a party for the All Portland Rally this weekend!
Friday night is at The Standard across from Ole Ole on NE 22nd Avenue at Burnside. Park on Burnside in front of Meat.
The Puddle Cutters will be leading a ride around 10 PM to a party at magical little house known as Defartino (AKA: the moped house; AKA: Grandma’s: AKA: that house down the street from Patrick’s).
Apparently we got some attention at our party on 39th. Several people at work have come up to me asking if there was a “block party” going down on Division over the weekend. Rowdy rowdy!
Check out the blog, there’s a lot of truth buried within.
Yay, rally. Thank you to everyone who came out to play, thank you to everyone that bought raffle tickets (except for you Nick, you’re welcome for the $40 Tomos!), thank you to those that donated to help Steve, and a HUGE thank you for everyone that went balls-out to make this rally amazing.
Please tag your photos with holdmybeer08! Stop by our new Photos page, we have added the last 20 photos to be tagged with puddlecutters. Thanks again, we miss you already!
In the midst of all the rally celebration I regret to bring bad news. Reposted from Twist-n-Play Scooter Club, but Steve is a Puddle Cutter too.
Steve was admitted to the hospital last week with heart trouble, suffered a small stroke early in the week and late friday night suffered another, a really bad one. He will be in the hospital till further notice under constant monitor. He will have plenty of medical bills with no way to pay them, as HE HAS NO HEALTH INSURANCE. He has been a positive influence on the club as a member and former president. He’s a mainstay within the the scooter community both through his personal life as well as his contribution to the excellent resource that is PTown Scooters. That he’s readily helped nearly every one of us out at one time or another; and that while he likes to have a raucous good time that he’s a man of integrity, kindness and generosity.
Today’s meet and greet is at 3PM with ride to follow at 6PM. P-Town Scooters is located at 3347 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202. Fix your moped, buy rally packs, sneak some drinks, meet new moped people, and snuggle your friends!
Party tonight after the ride at Adventureland, located at 2262 SE 39th, Portland, OR 97214. Even if you don’t have a moped yet and want to party with us, come on down! We’ll have beer and probably a tazer!
Are you READY YET?! Have you made arrangements to get picked up and dropped off at your house/loaner bike? If not, maybe it’s time to do so. Get in touch with us…. Sign up for the SMS updates in the little box on the left, then email erics@mopedarmy.com with your name and needs : if you will be requiring a place to stay or a loaner bike or a ride.
While you’re typing that email, feel free to enjoy this entertaining video featuring the lovely Olivia Newton John.
