Sunday rides coming back. Rode up to Creosote Mines to see if rumors of bulldozers were true. Still there for now. Some off roading may have been involved + gravely down hill curves that were scaring the crap out of me. Then off to Sauvie’s Island to find Brodeo and Eric who ditched us by mistake while racing. (never pass the leader). Star Trek in St. John’s followed (personal opinion of movie omitted) ending with BBQ at Grandma’s. Other highlights: Jesse’s all stock, even pipe, maxi doing well into the 40’s , vic’s stock cylinder variant out-performing kitted puchs, Mark braving 50mph highway 30 on a stock ciao, Miguel running out of gas over the St. John’s bridge. minimal rain/no stitches.
Sure, you can keep your bike here, zach. We are accomodating. Don’t feel to bad, Abby and I have bikes in the corner Jesse designated the “think about what you’ve done” corner
We were bored, and found this link to faceresearch.org where you can make a mashup of two different faces. Click to see what Mike and I look like, averaged out.
In the midst of all the rally celebration I regret to bring bad news. Reposted from Twist-n-Play Scooter Club, but Steve is a Puddle Cutter too.
Steve was admitted to the hospital last week with heart trouble, suffered a small stroke early in the week and late friday night suffered another, a really bad one. He will be in the hospital till further notice under constant monitor. He will have plenty of medical bills with no way to pay them, as HE HAS NO HEALTH INSURANCE. He has been a positive influence on the club as a member and former president. He’s a mainstay within the the scooter community both through his personal life as well as his contribution to the excellent resource that is PTown Scooters. That he’s readily helped nearly every one of us out at one time or another; and that while he likes to have a raucous good time that he’s a man of integrity, kindness and generosity.
